About Virtual Care

Walk-in clinic Virtual Care in Nova Scotia can now be billed through MSI so there is NO FEE associated with this service if you have a valid (not expired) health care card. Residents of Quebec or Canadian residents without a valid health care card will need to pay a fee of $50.00 and for Non-Canadian residents, the fee is $100.00. This fee will be collected BEFORE your encounter with the physician can occur. Please have your health card number plus expiry date and a list of your medications ready before your virtual care appointment with the physician.

The Family Focus Medical Clinics are very excited to introduce a VIRTUAL CARE option to our patients. Virtual care is the provision of medical services over the internet or phone. You will be able to communicate with a local physician from the comfort of your own home rather than make the trip to the clinic!

Family Focus Virtual Care will connect a patient to healthcare providers by phone or using video. The virtual care physician will work just like an in-person doctor. They can examine areas of concern visually while asking questions about your symptoms and health history to determine your diagnosis and the best treatment plan. If a prescription is required it can be faxed to the pharmacy of your choice.

There are many conditions that can be treated by Family Focus Virtual Care. These would include bladder infections, cold & flu symptoms, eye infections, sexual health issues including ED, vomiting, diarrhea, skin issues and more. See a complete list of services available for Virtual Care at bottom of the page. We look forward to taking care of your virtual care needs at your convenience!

We are able to provide Virtual Care to patients in the following provinces: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Ontario and BC.

** Please note that Dr. Lisa Dearman is prohibited from prescribing all narcotics.
